The One Weekend Book Series
"The One Weekend Book Series" ist ein Projekt, daß wir seit 2003 organisieren. Wie schon der Name andeutet, gestalten wir an einem Wochenende ein Buch. In jedem Buch sind M.Lorenz und einem Gastkünstler 48 Stunden gegeben, um eine Stadt zu erfahren, zu dokumentieren und ein visuelles Tagebuch ohne die Hilfe des Computers zu kreieren. Wozu dies führt, ist eine Dokumentation einer 48-stündigen Suche nach visueller Unterhaltung und einer Definition der besuchten Stadt.
Auf der einen Seite berichten die "The One Weekend Book Series" von, in Reiseführern nicht erwähnten Orten und Situationen, auf der anderen Seite geben sie einen exhibitionistische Einblick in das persönliche Innenleben der Reporter. Allerdings steht bei dem Versuch eine Stadt zu erforschen, immer die Kreation eines Buches im Vordergrund.

"The One Weekend Book Series" es un proyecto que existe desde 2003.
Como su nombre indica, se trata de crear un libro en un fin de semana.
En cada número de "The One Weekend Book Series" M.Lorenz y un/varios
artista/s invitado/s tienen 48 horas para vivir la ciudad,
documentarla y crear un diario visual de ésta sin el uso del
ordenador. El resultado de esto documenta 48 horas de búsqueda de
entretenimiento visual y la definición de la ciudad visitada.
Por una parte, "The One Weekend Book Series" informa sobre lugares y
sitios no mencionados en guías turísticas y por otra, da una idea
exhibicionista del estado personal de los autores. En el intento de
visualizar una ciudad los artistas están en realidad ocupados en crear
un libro.
Sobre los a–os hemos creado libros, catalogos, peliculas y exposiciones
en Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Berlín, Nueva York, Milán, Barcelona y Sapporo.

The One Weekend Book Series
"The One Weekend Book Series" is a project we organize since 2003. As the
name implies we create on one weekend one book. In each book M.Lorenz and a
guest artist are given 48 hours to experience a city, document it and
create a visual diary without the use of computers. What this results to
is the documentation of a 48 hour search for visual entertainment and
the definition of the city visited.
On one hand "The One Weekend Book Series" reports of places and situations
unmentioned in city-guides, on the other hand it gives an exhibitionistic view of the personal state of the reporters. In trying
to figure out a city, in this case, they are mostly concerned with
creating a book.
Over the years we created books, catalogues, movies, performances and exhibitions in Frankfurt am
Main, Copenhagen, Berlin, New York City, The Hague, Milan, Barcelona and Sapporo.
