Palau de la Música Catalana
Wir, und 11 weitere international bekannte Design Büros wurden eingeladen, um ein Plakat für das hundertjährige Jubiläum des international renommierten Konzerthauses "Palau De La Música Catalana" zu entwerfen. Unsere Aufgabe war es, das Konzerthaus visuell von der Vergangenheit in die Zukunft zu führen. Als Inspiration und Ausgangspunkt diente uns das farbenfrohe Oberlicht aus dem Jugendstil im großen Konzertsaal. Unsere grafische Neu-Interpretation bezog sich gleichermaßen auf die Wertschätzung der Tradition, aber auch auf den Willen zur Innovation und Erneuerung.
Wenn die Noten im Konzertsaal des Palau de la Música ertönen, steigen sie auf, über die Köpfe der Zuschauer, zu dem Oberlicht, welches sie auffängt und in Farben verwandelt. Das Poster ist von diesem Bild inspiriert. Das Oberlicht als Zeuge der Musik die gespielt worden ist und gespielt werden wird, Töne, die sich in Farben verwandeln und letztlich in einer Explosion sich ausbreiten und der Zukunft zuwenden.

Palau de la Música Catalana
Nosotros, junto con otros 11 estudios de prestigio internacional,
fuimos invitados a diseñar el cartel para el centenario del "Palau de
la Música Catalana" en Barcelona, un auditorio de gran reputación
internacional. La tarea era enlazar la tradición y el futuro del
Palau. Como inspiración nos sirvió el colorido lucernario modernista
que preside la sala de conciertos. Nuestra reinterpretación gráfica
toma ambos en consideración, la tradición del Palau y su deseo y
voluntad de innovar.
Cuando las notas suenan en el Palau, se elevan por encima de las
cabezas de los asistentes hasta el lucernario que las recoge. La
imagen se inspira en éste, testigo de este centenario de música y de
la que está por venir, y estas esferas inspiradas en sus colores son
las notas que quedan suspendidas y se expanden
por el cartel en una explosión y que alude a la
frase utilizada de Foix: "Todo empieza y nada acaba"; pues se celebra
el centenario cumplido pero también el inicio del nuevo.

Palau de la Música Catalana
We, and 11 other internationally known design bureaus were invited to design a poster for the centenary of the "Palau De La Música Catalana" in Barcelona, a concert hall of international reputation. The task was to guide the Palau visually from tradition to future. As inspiration served us the colorful art nouveau roof light of the main concert hall. Our graphic reinterpretation takes both in consideration, the tradition of the Palau and its will to innovate and recreate itself.
When the notes sound in the concert hall of the Palau de la Música and they arise over the heads of the audience, the rooflight collects them. The poster is inspired by this image, the rooflight as a witness of the music that sounded and that will sound. A reflection of sound converted to color, expanding in an explosion, heading towards the future.
